Our review in short.For anyone expecting the insider jokes, biting wit and charm that is Wendy W. in person, and on her talk show,unfortunately this book is NOT a reflection of any of that.I planned to give this as a gift to a friend who really likes WW, but the book was so awful and so poorly written, that i threw it out. -I guess it was kind of a collection or reprint of stories she has already discussed, but the book is illegible.And I got this book on sale for less-than a $1dollar and that was still way, way too much.Now, i'm pretty sure that at the time this book was published W. W. could afford to have one of her staff writers help with the organization and overall content of the book, as obviously the editors at publishing simply didn't care enough to bother, but I guess she didn't either... So straight to the trash it went! -Meh.Overall this book is so bad it makes those old cheap grocery tabloids look like fine reading.Don't waste your time or money on this awful, awful book.Our grade: F-!, or (less than) ZEROStars!

Chock full of "gossip," Ms. Williams does a great job of putting her radio show to print. Readers will be pleased to know that all of Wendy's favorite topics are covered; from Baby Momma Drama to "How You Doin'?....." Some of Wendy's most controversial interviews are covered in the book, but I found the most interesting to be the one with Misa Hylton-Brim--Puffy's first "baby momma."I liked the book and it was certainly a quick read, but solid Wendy fans like myself may be somewhat disappointed; you will find most if not all of what is covered within the pages to be regurgitated information. BUT--if you missed the MHB interview, you'll find it here. If you missed World's perspective on homosexuality and the music industry, you'll also find that here. And if you are one of the few remaining people on earth who did NOT hear that ridiculously raw Whitney Houston interview, all is not lost---Wendy has included it here also.Looking forward to the next book, Wendy (will there be one?)...; but PLEASE reserve some of your future juicy gossip just for the book. That way your regular fans will get some new "scandalosity" between its pages also.DYB

Waste of money. I purchased three of her books. Not impressed, and I actually like her, and watch her show. She is somewhat full of herself, and puts on airs, the coy smile, the fakeness, but I find her intriguing. Can you believe his woman is worth 6 million dollars??? What a hustler, you got to give her respect for that!

I love Wendy Williams but this book is so self-serving I vouldnt even get through it. Don't waste your money.

I've never listened to this woman's show, so was unfamiliar with it. The first part of the book is a lot about people I don't know since I'm not in the 'scene' and familiar with a lot of current artist/music. However, I did agree a lot with some of her interviews and her advice and what seemed to be a solid morale fiber.

I love Wendy I enjoy her show. She is a kind woman. I respect that in a show host . SheIs a great entertainer.

​First time writing a product review of any kind. However, this book was so immensely helpful that I thought I needed to share my thoughts. I took (and passed) the July 2016 NY bar exam and was also enrolled in a Barbri prep course. After struggling with Barbri's MBE questions, a friend recommended this book. I could not have been more impressed. The questions/explanations in the book were super helpful and detailed. The book does such a great job of explaining the law. It also does a great job in explaining why the right answer is correct and why the others are not. I did every single question in this book and read each explanation. My MBE score improved greatly. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to raise their MBE scores.

My Barbri prep class just wasn't sinking in as quickly and efficiently as I wanted. I decided to supplement with this book about a month or less out from the bar and boy am I glad I did. I knew the Barbri practice questions were tougher and more nuanced than the actual bar but I was getting poor scores and feeling down in the dumps. Using the practice questions in this book made me feel confident that I knew more than I thought and exposed me to actual bar questions. Doing 20 question sets after reviewing the subject assigned by Barbri that day really helped me prepare. I ended up passing the UBE for my state and feel like this book helped me get there!

You can't possibly pass the MBE without this book. It has all the NCBE released questions. There will be NO REASON to buy Adaptibar or any other bar study program that costs hundreds of dollars. These explanations are better than Barbri and any other bar prep tool I have ever used for the MBE. I used the law in a flash cards for extra subject help. I love Emanuel's!

I received this book two days ago and have probably spent about 6-7 hours total with it so far.It is good. It is helpful, and I would recommend it.But, I had to stop, mid-study, to write this review because there are numerous typographical errors. There are some that are normal, that you could easily glance over and it would make no big deal, but there are others that affect the outcome of an answer.Huge confidence blow, and not something you would expect from an $80 book designed to help you choose correct answers, no matter how long and dense it is.

I bought this book a few weeks before the July 2016 bar exam so I could do extra MBE questions without having to get on my computer for the prep course. The strategies and tactics section was helpful in attacking the question. The extra questions were good practice without having to devote an hour and a half every time I wanted to do a couple of questions. I went with 6th edition over 5th edition because of the 4 year gap between them.Will revisit in 3 months when I get the exam results.

I have been using this book to study for the upcoming July 2018 Bar and find the questions and answers very useful in preparing for the MBE. I prefer these questions over BARBRI questions, but do understand that Barbri helps with learning the black letter law whereas this book helps with applying the law. I would not recommend depending on this supplement alone. Do invest in the critical pass cards and a bar prep program to give yourself the best chance at passing the bar. The last thing I want to add, Steven L. Emanuel should update this book in a year or two with newer NCBE problems. I have heard the questions have changed from the ones in the book, but the questions are still great for practice purposes.

Super helpful! The author helps you recognize what kind of question the test is asking, eliminate "distractor" answers, and choose the right answer to the question. WHY DIDN'T THEY TEACH ME THIS IN LAW SCHOOL? I'm thinking of emailing my former professors and convincing them to teach MBE strategies using this as a textbook.

I just took the Bar Exam and boy, did that HURT. If you're a poor, unfortunate soul reading this review, then you must be planning on taking the Bar Exam. HA, GOOD LUCK. And you thought law school was bad! The MBE questions were NOT like the ones from this textbook. THANKS, BAR EXAMINERS.Basically, if you want to torture and delude yourself into thinking you're prepared then you should buy this book. I think I would have been just as well off buying an RBG prayer candle and sacrificing a goat to the Bar Exam Gods.

Religion repeatedly stood at the center of these points of cultural engagement, often in hotly contested ways. Although these Native groups had successfully resisted evangelization in the seventeenth century, by the eighteenth century they showed an increasing interest in education and religion. Their sporadic participation in the First Great Awakening marked a continuation of prior forms of cultural engagement. More surprisingly, however, in the decades after the Awakening, Native individuals and sub-groups asserted their religious and cultural autonomy to even greater degrees by leaving English churches and forming their own Indian Separate churches. In the realm of education, too, Natives increasingly took control, preferring local reservation schools and demanding Indian teachers whenever possible. In the 1780s, two small groups of Christian Indians moved to New York and founded new Christian Indian settlements. But the majority of New England Natives-even those who affiliated with Christianity-chose to remain in New England, continuing to assert their own autonomous existence through leasing land, farming, and working on and off the reservations.

While Indian involvement in the Great Awakening has often been seen as total and complete conversion, Fisher's analysis of church records, court documents, and correspondence reveals a more complex reality. Placing the Awakening in context of land loss and the ongoing struggle for cultural autonomy in the eighteenth century casts it as another step in the ongoing, tentative engagement of native peoples with Christian ideas and institutions in the colonial world. Cradle to Cradle describes the harmful environmental impact caused by the manufacture and packaging of goods. While we may calculate the cost of raw materials to make a product, we do not include the "cost"/harm to the environment. We do not choose environmentally friendly materials to make products. We do not factor in the permanent loss of those materials when the products are down cycled and end up in landfills. We ignore the wasteful and impactful packaging of products as well. Finally, I've found the book that speaks simply and eloquently about the problems I've felt no one is addressing -- the ROOTS of the problems we are now facing, namely, lack of intelligent design and forethought. Studying to be a scientist in college, I remember being so frustrated with some science publications -- they were virtually unreadable! -- and thinking it's a problem of the system and of the author, who does not consider why he is writing what he is writing. He should be writing to communicate information, in a simple way that could be available to a large audience. Instead, it seemed that people were writing to get published to get grants to produce more research that they continued to miscommunicate in more impossible-to-read publications. And I've felt similarly about the way our whole human-made world runs -- we've forgotten what the point is, which is to live and enjoy and have our kids continue to do the same. And it's easy to foget when one has a reductionist approach, when one specializes in something and never looks up to see what's around. This book should be taught in all schools as part of the curriculum. It's a breath of fresh air of thinking globally and holistically in a world that is largely reductionist in reasoning. It is very encouraging to see such good work come from such an interdisciplinary partnership. And I love the fact that this book is a polymer!

The book is a well-argued manifesto on why and how we need to change our core philosophy of how we design products.The first thing you notice is that this book is rather heavy compared to normal books its size. This is explained by the authors trying to live their philosophy by creating a book out of a material that can be truly recycled as opposed to current paper which, while it can be reused, requires several unattractive processes and is not endlessly repeatable.The book makes many other decent arguments for why we should think of products as temporary services rather than things we own and therefore dispose of when we are done. The book makes a case for current recycling (or down-cycling as they call it) measures as being okay - as long as it is thought of as no more than a temporary stop-gap measure to be used while we pursue true technical and regular nutrient recycling.The only improvement I would like to see is more in-depth examples of how this process has been applied to commercial processes. They kept going back to the same one or two examples and I think there are more out there and I suspect by the time this book in republished there could be even more worthy examples.
